Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor said on the talkSPORT program that Liverpool should have Dominik Szoboszlai play as a right-back instead of continuing to use Jeremie Frimpong. He believes Frimpong does not have the ability to play right-back for Liverpool and pointed out that the team's defense has concerns.
Agbonlahor said on the talkSPORT program: “Conor Bradley is injured, and Frimpong does not have the ability.” He further explained: “If last week against Forest you put Gravenberch on the bench — have Gravenberch and Mac Allister partner in midfield, with Wirtz ahead of them — then everything would make sense. Because Frimpong does not have the ability, and he never will. He is a wing-back, not a full-back.”

Szoboszlai has experience playing at right-back
Szoboszlai has previously played as a right-back and performed well in that position. The Hungary international is one of the team's top players and recently signed a long-term contract with the club. However, his primary role is attacking midfield, where he likes to influence matches and create opportunities for teammates. Moving him to right-back may not be his preference. Whether this suggestion will be adopted remains to be seen.
Defensive performance has been poor, and improvements are needed
Liverpool's defensive performance in the first two Premier League matches of the season was poor, conceding four goals in total against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest. Frimpong has impressed in attack but has shown weaknesses defensively. If the team wants to have a successful season, it must improve at the back.
