Sevilla new signing Felix Correia: Messi is my biggest idol; I learned a lot from being alongside Ronaldo

According to AS, Sevilla new signing Felix Correia recently gave an interview to the club's official media. The 25-year-old Portuguese winger said he is ready to play and discussed his characteristics, preferred position, and football idols such as Messi and Ronaldo.

Felix Correia joined Sevilla on loan from Lille this summer. Speaking about his feelings after joining, he said: "I am very happy and really want to play. I have already trained with my teammates, and they welcomed me very well. The coach wished me good luck and hopes I work hard."

"I am ready to play against Espanyol on Sunday. I only played a few days ago, so I can help the team. I hope to achieve some great things together with this club."

Although he is only 25 years old, Correia has previously played for clubs including Manchester City, Juventus, and Lille, and has played in Portugal, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Speaking about his characteristics, Correia said: "Although I am only 25, I already have a lot of experience. I arrived at Sevilla in a very good state of mind."

"I am an intelligent player. I fight for possession, I am willing to be physical in duels, and I never give up. This mentality is very important. I know 'never give up' is also Sevilla's motto, so I hope I can integrate well here."

Correia also said he can play in several attacking positions: "I like playing on the left side, and I also like playing behind the striker."

"I really like La Liga. I often watch La Liga matches on television, and not only Real Madrid and Barcelona. I watched Sevilla's away match at Athletic Club in Bilbao, and I really liked this team's performance."

Speaking about his football idols, Correia said: "Among current players, I really like Dembele. Among past players, I like Robinho, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Neymar... But the most important one is Messi. He is my biggest idol."
