Juric: Monza made major changes; beating Torino in the Coppa Italia made me satisfied

Monza coach Juric spoke about the team's 1-0 Coppa Italia victory over Torino and the adjustments made during the summer transfer window.

Monza suffered defeats in their first two league matches, first losing heavily to Inter Milan and then being beaten by Udinese in an intense match. Afterwards, Monza defeated Torino in the Coppa Italia, a victory that helped Ivan Juric's team gain a clearer understanding of their own positioning. More importantly, Monza became very active in the final stages of the transfer market. They had almost no gains in the previous weeks and even months, relying mainly on gambles and occasional attempts, but they finally made significant moves in the closing period.

After the Coppa Italia victory, Juric told Rai 1 in an interview: “There was no need for any response, because we also played a very good match against Udinese. We performed even better against Torino, and I am satisfied because we fielded many young players. Everyone played very well.”

Speaking about the opportunity for the team to face AC Milan as a result, Juric said: “It is always enjoyable to play against strong teams, and we will give everything to win.”

Regarding Robinson's performance, Juric said: “I discovered him in Southampton's reserve team. At the time, there was an opportunity to loan him, so we brought him in. He has done a lot, has great potential and excellent ability, although his physical development is not yet complete.”

Asked whether he felt more reassured after several new signings arrived recently, Juric said: “I think so. The club made major changes, bringing in many young players, as well as players like Ngonge and Folorunsho, who can provide a lot of help. Now we have to integrate them into the team step by step. We need to remain calm, but the club has indeed done what it promised me when they hired me.”
