According to L'Equipe, Ivory Coast centre-back Abakar Sylla will leave Strasbourg in a transfer and join Gaziantep FK.

Strasbourg are continuing to streamline their squad. On Friday evening, the club announced the departure of their 25th player this summer, with Sylla leaving the team. Strasbourg signed Sylla three years ago for €20 million and offered him a substantial salary of €160,000 per month, but the Ivory Coast international centre-back was never able to establish himself in Alsace, making only 3,278 minutes of appearances since 2023.
Sylla has been sold to Gaziantep FK. In recent days, Strasbourg have also sent centre-backs Soumaïla Coulibaly and Andrew Omobamidele away, with the former joining Watford and the latter joining Anderlecht.
