Ceballos: Happy to See Former Real Madrid Teammates; Hopes to Play Against Lille in Champions League on Tuesday

According to Marca, Ceballos said in an interview with Movistar LaLiga that he is working hard to be available for Tuesday's Champions League match against Lille.

Ceballos faced Real Madrid in Betis' first match after his arrival at the club. Although Pellegrini did not include him in the squad, he hopes this will be the only match he misses after joining Betis and is aiming to play in France on Tuesday.

Speaking about returning to Betis, Ceballos said: "Returning to my hometown is really wonderful. I am very happy and eager to play, and to repay the fans' affection during this period with my performances."

Speaking about greeting his former teammates, Ceballos said: "Yes, my move happened very suddenly. I am still getting to know some members of the coaching staff, but with the Real Madrid teammates I did not have the chance to say goodbye to and who I worked with for many years, we hugged many times. We have a lot of affection for each other and were all very happy to see each other again."

Speaking about not being able to play immediately, Ceballos said: "I have not had the chance to train yet; yesterday I only completed my medical examination. We are trying our best to be ready for Tuesday's Champions League match. Everyone, especially the head coach, has given me a lot of confidence, and I am very happy about that."

Speaking about the possibility of playing against Lille, Ceballos said: "Of course. We have already talked about it, and I hope to play. It will depend on how my body feels during training each day from now on, but we hope I can be ready to feature on Tuesday."

Speaking about what he can bring to Betis, Ceballos said: "Mainly experience. We are a very young team, and I can also bring some control in matches, but the most important thing is passion. Now is the time to work hard. I have to prove why I came here, which is to make the club a little stronger. I really want to prove that on the pitch as soon as possible."

Speaking about playing alongside Isco again, Ceballos said: "Isco is a phenomenal player. I am very happy to play with him again, and it feels great. I hope he can stay healthy throughout the season, which will allow all Betis fans to enjoy it."
