After completing reinforcements to the squad, Barcelona under Flick have met expectations on the sporting side this season. The article states that the team has won the last two league titles under Flick and is pushing for a third, which has also helped the club gradually improve its financial situation.

Barcelona have been able to strengthen an already relatively complete squad thanks to the club turning around the difficult situation of previous seasons.

The Brand Finance Football 50 2026 report released at the end of August stated that Barcelona’s return to Spotify Camp Nou was also a key factor in the growth of its brand value, helping the club return to the top three football clubs globally by brand value. Real Madrid ranked first and continued to extend its lead over other challengers.

The report showed that Barcelona’s brand value is close to €2 billion, up 15% from last year. Brand Finance attributed part of the growth to Barcelona’s return to Spotify Camp Nou after more than two years, as well as winning La Liga titles in two consecutive seasons. The club’s brand value is expected to continue growing once the stadium is completed.

Pilar Alonso Ulloa, Managing Director of Brand Finance Iberia and South America, said: “The continued dominance of Real Madrid and Barcelona reflects the strength of the two most recognized football club brands in the world. They have extremely high global awareness, the ability to attract star players, and can convert these advantages into commercial value, making it difficult for other club brands to challenge them. This year’s Football 50 ranking shows that the gap is still widening. Real Madrid’s brand value has reached €2.4 billion, while Barcelona’s is close to €2 billion. They are the two most valuable and strongest football club brands in the world.”

Barcelona announced last Thursday that the club achieved record revenue and positive ordinary operating results for the third consecutive season, reaching its financial balance target. Revenue exceeded €1 billion for the first time this season, mainly due to growth in stadium operating income. Although some matches in the first half of the season were played at the Johan Cruyff Stadium and the Olympic Stadium, other matches were held at Spotify Camp Nou, which has a capacity of 42,000.

Barcelona said that continued growth in sponsorship revenue, as well as record turnover from merchandise sales through its subsidiary BLM, also contributed to the increase in revenue.
