While appearing as a guest on RMC's "Nuits du Cazarre Enchaîné" program, Antoine Kombouaré spoke candidly about the possibility of returning to Ligue 1 one day in the future, especially to Marseille.
After leaving Paris FC, he is currently without a club, but he has not closed the door on Marseille: "Yes, why not. But well... I like clubs where you can feel energy and fighting spirit. Look, who would have thought that Lyon native Bruno Génésio would go to Marseille?" Kombouaré clearly expressed this view, while also saying that he has been available since January and will continue to follow potential projects that come his way.

The Kanak coach also revealed the club he has always particularly wanted to manage: "Manchester United... Whenever I see some coaches at Premier League clubs, I think that I could do just as well, or even better."
During the program, Kombouaré also discussed his future, saying that he had already received contact regarding coaching a new national team, while acknowledging that he prefers the daily work involved at a club.
These comments show that the 62-year-old former Nantes manager has not ruled out any major challenges.
