Gullit: I Like Goncalo, But You Cannot Expect One Striker to Solve All Problems

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gullit discussed the upcoming Juventus vs. AC Milan clash in an interview and commented on Milan's current situation.

Speaking about AC Milan missing out on the Champions League, Gullit said: "I am disappointed. Some teams are naturally meant to play in the Champions League. Last season the Rossoneri came very close to securing qualification, but unfortunately, at the most crucial moment, months of hard work went to waste. I hope to see them return to the top soon, but to reach a high position, the team must have players who can make the right decisions on the pitch."

Speaking about the Juventus vs. AC Milan match, Gullit said: "Last year I watched AC Milan play Juventus at San Siro, and that match was terrible. Zero goals and zero entertainment. On paper, it should have been a major clash, but the result was... I hope this time it will be different."

Regarding whether Goncalo Ramos can break AC Milan's striker curse, Gullit said: "I like Goncalo, but you cannot expect one striker to solve all problems. How many balls reach him? How do the other players provide him with chances inside the penalty area? Ramos deserves trust, but he needs the support of the whole team."

Speaking about which team is stronger between Juventus and AC Milan, Gullit said: "After only two matches, it is difficult to draw conclusions. Spalletti is excellent, while AC Milan have signed Amorim and are pushing forward with the idea of combining young players with experienced ones. Teams with major squad changes always need time, and AC Milan must work hard to regain confidence."

Speaking about the decision to part ways with Leao, Gullit said: "I feel sorry for the kid, but the love story between him and AC Milan has already ended."
