Official news: 39-year-old English striker Vardy has joined Championship club Burnley, signing a contract until the end of the season.

Burnley officially announced that experienced striker Jamie Vardy has joined the club, with both parties signing a contract until the end of this season.

The 39-year-old Vardy played for Serie A side Cremonese last season and left the club as a free agent this summer.

Burnley head coach Nicky Hayen is very excited about the signing: “We are very pleased to welcome Jamie to Burnley.
