Hila: My kneecap has some discomfort; we did look a little timid in the final moments

Milan drew 1-1 away against Juventus in the third round of Serie A, and Mario Hila spoke to DAZN in an interview after the match.

Milan conceded two goals when you were not on the pitch. Is that a coincidence? Also, how are you feeling physically now?

If we say that the team struggles a lot without me, I think that would be unfair to the team. I think they deserved this draw. We were not at 100% of our level and lost possession too many times. Against a strong team like Juventus, we kept fighting until the final moment. I still was unable to complete the entire match, which makes me feel a little disappointed. Today my kneecap felt a little uncomfortable, but the point we earned is definitely not without value.

When playing away against Juventus, you should naturally be more cautious, but were you perhaps too conservative?

These two things are connected. We did lose possession too many times in the first half, but to be honest, after conceding, they also created some excellent chances to equalize. However, in the final minutes of the match, our formation dropped too deep. Juventus are a team with many tall players, and they can indeed find scoring opportunities in that way. We did look a little timid in the final moments.
