AC Milan Futuro goalkeeper Matteo Pitarella, born in 2008, gave an interview to the Rossoneri’s official channel after the team defeated Caldiero Terme 4-3 in the opening round of Serie C. During the match, the goalkeeper saved a penalty.

On what was going through his mind when he saved the penalty: “I actually didn’t think too much, because I quickly cleared everything from my mind. To be honest, I was very calm when I came on, my mind was completely blank, and then it just happened.”
On the team’s growth: “We get along very well. Now, especially after winning the UEFA Youth League match on Wednesday, together with this week’s training, we are slowly forming a great team. You could see today that we played very well. The only regret is conceding that penalty, because at that moment we did slightly slow down our tempo. However, I am still very happy to see this team, because we did a great job.”
