Morocco international Abde suffered another setback before the start of his European campaign, as Real Betis coach Pellegrini was forced to leave him out of the squad preparing to face Ligue 1 side Lille due to a virus infection.

Pellegrini announced Real Betis' squad this Sunday for next Tuesday evening's match against Lille, which is the first round of the Champions League league phase.
Abde's name was not included on the list. The player failed to make the matchday squad, while several key first-team stars were selected, including Isco, Lo Celso, Antony and Ceballos.
Abde's absence from the highly anticipated European fixture came after he also missed Real Betis' previous La Liga match against Real Madrid, when he was sidelined due to the virus infection.
The Moroccan player had only recently returned to action after overcoming physical issues and played a few minutes in Real Betis' previous match against Levante. The virus infection then prevented him from being selected again.
Abde hopes to get through this setback as soon as possible, regain his availability and return to Pellegrini's plans in the upcoming matches. After all, Real Betis have already entered a crucial stage of European competition.
