Mundo Deportivo: Dimarco's Contract Renewal Talks with Inter Have Made No Progress, He Has Shown Interest in Barcelona

The 28-year-old Dimarco will become a widely discussed name in the coming months. The Italy international's contract with Inter Milan expires on June 30, 2027, but the two sides have not reached an agreement on a renewal. This has made him a player attracting interest from European giants, especially Barcelona.

According to previous reports from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona proposed a swap deal involving Balde in the final days of this summer's transfer window, but the deal was not completed. If Dimarco becomes a free agent next season and the player himself remains open to wearing the Blaugrana shirt, it could become easier for Barcelona to sign him.

Dimarco also showed goodwill toward Barcelona when discussing his contract situation at the Italian Football Awards. Speaking about a renewal, he said: "Unfortunately, we haven't talked yet." Inter Milan's decision disappointed him somewhat: "I had hoped it would be finalized after the end of last season." Dimarco then said he wanted to focus on matches first: "Right now I only want to focus on the match against Napoli; we haven't beaten them for too long."

However, Dimarco also spoke about Barcelona. He said: "Being linked with these big clubs is always something that makes you happy." He also expressed regret over sporting director Ausilio leaving Inter Milan after 28 years: "Honestly, I didn't expect it to happen this way. I only found out by reading the newspapers after training. He was very close to me, I like him very much. He did a lot for Inter Milan, and we won many things together.
