Antonio Giraudo's interview with Corriere della Sera this morning attracted attention, which was not unexpected because the former Juventus executive has publicly maintained silence for the past 20 years. This has been the case since the aftermath of the 2006 Calciopoli scandal interrupted his position at Juventus and his professional career.

Giraudo: I will only return to Juventus if Elkann invites me

Returning to the stadium

During the conversation, Giraudo was asked whether he would return to the Juventus stadium and when that might happen. He revealed that he had actually gone back once, but for a very special reason: "I never wanted to go back, with one exception, because my son bought three tickets in the stands for me and my little grandson. Once I was recognized, I simply could not leave the stadium, with photos, selfies and shouts everywhere." Later, when asked whether he might return again, he added: "Only if Mr. Elkann invited me."

Speaking about Elkann, Giraudo also praised the way he assembled Juventus' squad for the 2026/27 season in another part of the interview: "Now there are the conditions to do this again. Carnevali-Massara? John Elkann finally made the right choice! The management structure is well set up, and Juventus has all the elements needed to win."
