In an interview with Sky Sport, Roberto Carlos said that Dimarco is a modern full-back and that he reminds him of his own style of play.

When discussing Real Madrid's match against Inter Milan, people can easily think of Mourinho, but Roberto Carlos is also among the players who have links to both teams. The former Brazilian star only played one season in Italy and built most of his career in Spain.

Sky Sport: Inter Milan have last season's Serie A MVP Dimarco in their squad, but he may not play tomorrow. Some people say Dimarco reminds them of Roberto Carlos. Is that really the case?

Roberto Carlos said: "Because of his physical qualities, right? (laughs, editor's note) Dimarco is a very talented left-back, and I can only congratulate him for his performances last season. He represents what a modern full-back looks like. I am happy to talk about him because he reminds me of my own style of play and speed. He is a very intelligent player.
