Alaves Boss Flores Named La Liga's August Manager of the Month After 3 Wins and 1 Draw

On September 7 Beijing time, La Liga officially announced that Alaves head coach Flores had been named the Manager of the Month for August.

Flores was named La Liga's August Manager of the Month. Alaves have made an excellent start to the season, currently ranking second in the standings with a record of 3 wins and 1 draw, behind only Barcelona. They opened the new season with a 3-0 home victory over Getafe.
They then drew 1-1 away against Rayo Vallecano and won 1-0 at home against Villarreal at the end of August. In the previous round of matches, which began in September, they also recorded a 5-2 win over Osasuna.
They have now collected 10 points and sit second in the La Liga standings, two points behind Barcelona. In the final voting, Flores defeated Flick and Mourinho to win the award.
