According to the Mirror, Arsenal director Berta spoke with Chelsea forward Joao Pedro after the match, sparking heated discussion among Arsenal fans.

Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The Gunners conceded first before completing the comeback with goals from Havertz and Odegaard. Joao Pedro has been one of Chelsea's standout performers so far this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the first three Premier League matches.

According to BBC Sport, Joao Pedro was included on Arsenal's 20-player list of potential signings during the previous transfer window. However, there have also been concerns over whether he would fit Arteta's system, and Chelsea are unlikely to let him leave for a low fee.

Arsenal shared footage from the tunnel after their win over Chelsea, and eagle-eyed fans noticed Berta speaking with Joao Pedro, with football.london reporting on the incident. One fan asked: "Was that Joao Pedro speaking with Berta?" Other fans suggested that Arsenal may want to sign the Brazilian forward. Another fan asked: "Joao Pedro and Berta together after the match, are we signing him?"

Despite signing Tzolis, Konsa and Guimaraes, Arsenal's summer transfer window was still not easy because the club failed to sign its top targets. Morgan Rogers chose to join Chelsea rather than Arsenal, while Liverpool won the race for Barcola. Kroupi was also a target for Arsenal, but Bournemouth insisted they would not sell him, and his subsequent foot injury caused him to miss the start of the season.

Arteta also said: "It does not completely depend on one person. I think it should be Berta, or Josh Kroenke, who talk about these matters, because I am not involved in those negotiations. They understand these issues much better than I do. These questions are all related to the transfer market and various aspects, so I think it is more appropriate for them to speak about them."
