Mundo Deportivo: Barcelona to Hold General Assembly on September 19, Vote on Camp Nou Financing Limit

Barcelona's board of directors has set September 19 as the date for the annual ordinary and extraordinary members' assembly, where an extremely important issue will be put to a vote: the financing of the 'Espai Barça' project related to the new Spotify Camp Nou.

On that day, club member representatives will meet to vote, with the focus on approving an increase in the credit limit used for financing the Espai Barça project and the new Spotify Camp Nou.

Mundo Deportivo points out that at the annual ordinary members' assembly, the club will also approve the financial statements for the previous financial year as usual, as well as pass the budget for the 2026-2027 season, which is expected to reach a new high.

In addition to announcing the official date of the members' assembly, Barcelona also stated that the club 'has ended the financial year with positive ordinary operating results for the third consecutive season.'

In fact, one of the main features of this season is that revenue has reached a new record, with the club surpassing the 1 billion euro mark for the first time in its history.

One of the main factors driving this figure was the operation and opening of Spotify Camp Nou.

Barcelona increased its profits after returning to Spotify Camp Nou, but it still needs to raise the credit limit to complete all necessary renovations and construction work.

The representatives will express their opinions at the meeting and vote on the various items on the agenda. The assembly will also need to confirm the appointments of board members who will take part in the elections alongside Joan Laporta and have not resigned from their positions. They are Rafael Yuste, Josep Cubells, Andre Cury, Josep Ignasi Macia, Angel Riudalbas, Joan Soler and Sisco Puyol.

As usual, a question-and-answer session will also be opened during the assembly to discuss different topics, although economic issues will remain the focus of the meeting.

On the sporting side, the club will also provide necessary explanations after a very impressive summer transfer window, which helped the team build a highly competitive squad.
