Official announcement
Rangers FC confirmed today that Badredine Bouanani has joined the team on loan from Stuttgart.
The 21-year-old Algerian player joined Derek McInnes' squad on the final day of the summer transfer window.
Bouanani came through the youth system of his hometown club Lille, moved to Nice in 2022, and made his first-team debut for the Ligue 1 side in January 2023.
In the second half of the 2023-24 season, he spent time on loan at Lorient to gain first-team experience. He then returned to Nice and earned regular playing opportunities. The winger previously faced Rangers in the Europa League in November 2024 and scored Nice's only goal of the match with a brilliant free kick.
After making 70 appearances for Nice in all competitions, Bouanani joined Bundesliga club Stuttgart in the summer of 2025.
In his first season in the Bundesliga, he made 28 appearances, including matches in the Europa League.
At international level, Bouanani represented several France youth teams before ultimately choosing to represent Algeria at senior level.
