British Media: Tottenham’s Starting Lineups for First Three Matches Leaked 24 Hours Early, Internal Leak Issues Also Existed During Postecoglou Era

According to British media reports, Tottenham’s starting lineups for their first three Premier League matches were leaked 24 hours before the games, and the team also faced internal leak concerns during the Postecoglou era.

Another season has arrived, and just as predictable as Tottenham’s injuries is the continued leaking of internal information from the north London club, which has harmed the head coach and his team.

For any Premier League club, keeping information completely confidential is difficult. Too many people are involved, and players are also surrounded by various circles including agents, public relations staff and family members. However, in recent years, Tottenham’s information leaks have appeared to be full of loopholes.

Now, De Zerbi’s starting lineups for Tottenham’s first three Premier League matches of the new season have reportedly appeared on social media, WhatsApp groups and message boards 24 hours before games, meaning even opponents could see them.

The issue of a possible insider leaking information was also faced by De Zerbi’s predecessor, Postecoglou, as players’ injury-related medical information was reportedly leaked from the club.

“There is no doubt there have been leaks from inside the club — someone is continuing to put information out,” Postecoglou said last year. “It only makes our job more difficult because we do not want opponents knowing any lineup decisions before match day.”

“We have narrowed the scope down. We have been investigating this for some time and have a general idea of where the information came from. It is disappointing because you would hope that everyone here is working alongside us rather than against us.”

He added: “It is definitely not agents, absolutely not agents. The information that came out was very specific. The wording used was also not something an agent would use, believe me. It was definitely not players either, because for me, the information that was leaked was… listen, especially medical information, I have always been very, very careful.”

“I know everyone thinks this information should be completely public, but I have always maintained respect regarding medical records and how much information we choose to release.
