Dortmund Have Lost Only Twice in Their Last 23 Champions League Home Matches, Dominating Villarreal Again

On Tuesday Beijing time, the new Champions League season's league phase begins, with Borussia Dortmund hosting Villarreal. This is the fifth round meeting between the two teams in this season's Champions League league phase, and their second encounter in the competition.

Dortmund won 4-0 at home in the previous meeting

In the last two Champions League campaigns, Guirassy has directly contributed to 24 goals in 24 appearances, including 17 goals and 7 assists. Only Harry Kane with 29 goals and Raphinha with 26 goals have more.

A good start in the league as well

Borussia Dortmund have taken six points from their opening two Bundesliga matches this season, level with the league leaders. They defeated Hoffenheim 3-2 away and beat Hamburger SV 2-0 at home. Guirassy currently leads the team scoring charts with two Bundesliga goals and is also a strong candidate to score in this match.
