Arsenal's pre-match preparations began in England, and by the time they arrived in Naples, it was already late at night. Due to chaos at UK airports caused by an air traffic management system failure, Arsenal's schedule was forced to be delayed, and Arteta also cancelled the press conference that had originally been scheduled for last night at the Maradona Stadium.

There was no press room and no pre-match speech, only several additional hours of waiting at the training centre before the team finally set off.
The Gunners arrived at Capodichino Airport at around 21:30. Arteta gave a brief statement directly at the airport before travelling with the team to their hotel in Nola.
“We are in a very, very difficult place, but we are really looking forward to starting this journey,” he said. Arsenal enter their first European match of the season carrying the experience of reaching last season’s Champions League final. “Start in a good way. That is the only thing we can do. We have to play a great game to increase our chances of winning.”
