Echiezib Joins Genoa as a Free Agent: I Want to Prove Myself Again

After terminating his contract with Udinese, Echiezib quickly found a new club. The Dutch wing-back officially joined Genoa and became a new signing for the team's 2026/27 season.

In an interview with Genoa's official website, Echiezib discussed the reasons behind his decision to join Genoa.

"As a believer, this is the best way for me to ask for forgiveness after I chose to step back when I received that offer many years ago. Things change, and my thoughts can also change," Echiezib said. "I really hope to prove myself again. Thinking about playing for Genoa next, I feel very happy. Thank you to the club."

Genoa sporting director Diego Lopez also commented on the signing: "Echiezib can bring excellent sprinting ability, wide coverage and knowledge of Serie A, which have always been added values. We have finalized the wing position selection with Kingsley."

"We believe in his physical qualities and adaptability. He can get ready in a very short time and contribute to the team."

Genoa later announced that the club had completed Echiezib's registration procedures, and the player will be part of the team's 2026/27 season squad.
