The report also states that Saudi Pro League clubs are interested, but Zubimendi is not considering such a transfer at this stage.

Reassessment in January

Zubimendi’s priority remains staying at Arsenal for now, but according to TEAMtalk, he will reassess his options when January arrives. The 27-year-old could still have an important role at Arsenal, as Arteta needs to rotate his squad across multiple competitions to remain competitive.

However, Zubimendi also understands that he has the ability to become a regular starter at many top European clubs. If his situation at Arsenal does not improve, clubs such as Chelsea and Real Madrid would be attractive options for him.

The plans of the two giants

After selling Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea did not immediately bring in a replacement, and Zubimendi fits their current needs. For Real Madrid, according to Fabrizio Romano’s report at the time, they missed out on Rodri in the summer, so signing a player like Zubimendi as an alternative option would also be valuable for the club.
