Seedorf: Real Madrid vs Inter Was a True Champions League Match; The Last One I Watched Like This Was PSG vs Bayern

According to Calciomercato, former Inter Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Seedorf gave an interview in which he discussed the Champions League match between his two former clubs.

Seedorf said: “This is true Champions League football. I enjoyed every moment of the match. Inter performed extremely well. From a tactical perspective, they are one of the strongest teams I have seen this season. Watching them control possession, move Real Madrid around, and look for spaces, you could clearly see their tactical intentions. When they stepped onto the Santiago Bernabéu pitch, they were not afraid of Real Madrid.”

“Real Madrid were also excellent. They understood the rhythm Inter wanted to impose and refused to play according to their opponent’s tempo. Every time Real Madrid won the ball back, you had the feeling that danger could emerge on the pitch. Inter could sustain an attack for two minutes, while Real Madrid only needed ten seconds to push their attack into the opponent’s half.”

Seedorf gave his assessment without reservation: “This was not a contest where one team attacked relentlessly and the other only tried to defend. Throughout the match, the two giants kept presenting each other with completely different tactical challenges. Honestly, since last season’s Paris Saint-Germain versus Bayern match, I cannot remember watching such an enjoyable Champions League encounter.
