Bayern Director Responds to Olise Transfer Rumours: No Offer Must Be Considered, Situation May Become Clear Next Summer

Bayern Munich director Max Eberl recently discussed Michael Olise's future, with the France international having recently been linked with transfer rumours involving Liverpool, Real Madrid and other clubs. Eberl said Bayern does not have an amount that would mean it must consider selling him, while suggesting that whether Olise renews his contract will be the key factor.

When asked, “At what price would you consider selling Olise?” Eberl replied: “If you want to win the Champions League, this question would not come up. That is the beauty of Bayern Munich: no matter the amount, you do not have to waver.”

Eberl added that Olise has made remarkable progress at Bayern and that the club will sit down to discuss the next steps at the right time. He stressed that Olise still has three years remaining on his contract and that there is “no release clause”. He then gave a timeframe: “At the latest, we should know by next summer whether he is inclined to renew his contract.”

Liverpool's right-wing option

Olise was previously linked with Liverpool by media outlets including TEAMtalk. With Salah potentially leaving, he has been viewed as a quality option to replace him on the right side. Olise has performed well at Bayern, and the club clearly does not want to let the attacker leave.

Return to the Premier League or continue playing abroad

Olise previously played for Crystal Palace in the Premier League and has already proven that he can adapt to English football. The Premier League remains one of the most attractive destinations in world football, but competition is also more intense. In comparison, continuing to play abroad may allow him to focus more energy on the Champions League.
