Adeyemi Scores 17th Champions League Goal, Joins Ballack as Sixth-Highest German Scorer in History

According to Goal.com, Adeyemi scored in Barcelona's Champions League match against Feyenoord, taking his Champions League goal tally to 17.

Adeyemi scored Barcelona's second goal in the first round of the Champions League league phase on Wednesday evening at the Spotify Camp Nou. According to UEFA statistics, his tally surpassed Ballack's 16 goals and matched Werner, placing him sixth on the all-time Champions League scoring list among German players.

Adeyemi's goal came in the 22nd minute, with a superb shot that helped Barcelona extend their lead after Raphinha had scored early. It was also the German player's first Champions League appearance for Barcelona.

Adeyemi joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund this summer. He made 37 Champions League appearances for Dortmund and scored 12 goals, and he also helped the club reach the final in the 2023-2024 season, where they ultimately lost 0-2 to Real Madrid. The former Red Bull Salzburg player also scored four Champions League goals for that club.

With this goal, Adeyemi is one goal away from Gnabry's total of 18. On the all-time Champions League scoring list for German players, Thomas Muller leads with 57 goals, followed by Mario Gomez with 26, Reus with 24, and Sane with 23.
