Iraola on Gakpo's absence: He has a slight adductor issue, we don't want to take risks

In the first round of the Champions League league phase, Liverpool hosted Atletico Madrid, and Gakpo was not included in the match squad. Iraola explained the reason for Gakpo's absence in a pre-match interview with TNT Sports.
Iraola said: "Cody (Gakpo) had some problems with his adductor at the end of the match against Ipswich a few days ago, on both sides. But there is nothing particularly serious."
"This is not a real injury in the true sense. But we don't want to take risks. I think it is reasonable to let him rest, and hopefully we can help him recover. If he cannot make it this weekend, we will aim for a return next week. However, I think he even has a chance to be available for the weekend match."
