These two possibilities directly determine whether the criticism of 'the same action receiving different investigations' is valid.

From historical comparisons, the CFA has handled similar two-sided cases before. Last season in the Chinese Super League, there was a precedent where an away player making a controversial gesture toward the home stand received a four-match suspension, while a home staff member making the same gesture toward the away side was criticized by the venue authority and suspended for two matches.
