Nkunku once again spoke about his experience at Milan during the pre-match press conference ahead of Como’s match against Leipzig.

The match will mark the first time in Como’s history that the club competes in European competition, and it will be held tomorrow evening at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, which has been approved to host international matches. Former Milan player Nkunku, who now plays for Leipzig, answered related questions at the press conference.
Speaking about the issues he encountered at Chelsea and Milan, Nkunku said: “When I joined Chelsea, everything was going well at the beginning, but then I got injured after the final friendly match. After that, everything changed. I underwent my first surgery, and at the time I wanted to return to the pitch as soon as possible. Many things changed during that period. I did not like the position I played in at Chelsea. At Milan, I was not injured, but the team’s football philosophy was different from mine. So, as soon as I had the opportunity to come back here and play my own football, I did it.”
Regarding Milan’s decision, Nkunku said: “It is a decision that needs to be respected, but I still do not understand it to this day. I do not know why they did it. I was very surprised. However, in any case, I still wish them a successful season.”
