According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli player Noah Lang was previously left out of the squad for the Champions League match against Arsenal due to disciplinary reasons. It is reported that during the final training session before the match, Lang reacted excessively after a teammate made a passing error, which became the direct reason for his internal punishment.

Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna previously explained why Noah Lang was left out of the squad, saying: "His behavior was inappropriate, so he will watch the match with me. He has already apologized to the team and the coach, and this matter is over."

The report states that head coach Allegri's decision not to call up Noah Lang was entirely based on disciplinary considerations. During the final training session before the match, teammate Vergara made a passing error, and Lang reacted too strongly, using very harsh words in English to criticize Vergara.

Noah Lang's behavior displeased Allegri, leading the coach to decide to exclude him from the squad for the match against Arsenal.

Afterward, Noah Lang apologized separately to Allegri, Vergara, and the club. However, Napoli wanted to send a clear message through this punishment and prevent similar incidents from happening again in the future. Therefore, they did not withdraw the punishment because of his apology and ultimately decided that he would still miss the Champions League match against Arsenal.
