Official: Villa sign 18-year-old Paris forward Mbaye for €55 million transfer fee

On September 1 Beijing time, Premier League club Aston Villa officially announced that they have signed 18-year-old Senegal international Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain. According to reports, the transfer fee for the deal reached €55 million.

The official announcement reads as follows:

Official: Aston Villa are delighted to announce that Senegal international Ibrahim Mbaye has joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 18-year-old Mbaye plays as a winger and possesses excellent explosiveness, dribbling ability, and finishing instincts. Mbaye began his professional career at Paris Saint-Germain and enjoyed a breakout period with the U19 team, recording 15 goals and 19 assists in 37 appearances. From 2024 to the present, Mbaye has made 42 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain's first team, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists.

At international level, Mbaye and Nicolas Jackson, who previously joined Villa, are both members of the Senegal national team. He represented Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and scored a goal in the group-stage match against France.
