On September 10, Santos officially announced that the club had signed former Brazil international Everton Cebolinha. The 30-year-old winger previously played for Flamengo and joined Santos as a free agent after leaving the club.

Everton began his career at Fortaleza before moving to Gremio, where he gradually developed into one of the representative wingers in Brazilian football. During his time at Gremio, he made 273 appearances and scored 69 goals, helping the club win the 2016 Copa do Brasil, the 2017 Copa Libertadores, the 2018 Recopa Sudamericana, and multiple state championship titles.
In 2019, Everton was selected for the Brazil national team and won the Copa America with the squad. He scored three goals in the tournament, finishing as the competition's top scorer, and also scored in the final against Peru.
In 2020, Everton transferred to Benfica and returned to Brazil in 2022 to join Flamengo after two seasons with the Portuguese club. During his time at Flamengo, he won the Copa Libertadores twice, as well as two Copa do Brasil titles, three Campeonato Carioca titles, the Brazilian Super Cup, and the 2025 Campeonato Brasileiro title.
After joining Santos, Everton will become the fourth player signed by the club during this transfer window.
