Here We Go! Chelsea Set to Sign Villa Goalkeeper Martinez for £7.5 Million Transfer Fee

On August 28 Beijing time, renowned journalist Romano reported with his trademark “HERE WE GO” that Chelsea will sign Villa's Argentine goalkeeper Damian Martinez, with the transfer fee set at £7.5 million (€8.75 million).
Romano reported: “Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Villa over the signing of Dibu Martinez, HERE WE GO! The two clubs have reached a club-to-club agreement for Dibu Martinez's permanent transfer, with the fee being £7.5 million.”
“Dibu was granted permission to join Chelsea yesterday, and today the clubs reached an agreement on the transfer terms.”
Damian Martinez is 33 years old. He joined Villa in the summer transfer window of 2020 for a transfer fee of €17.4 million. He has made 256 appearances for the club so far, recording 84 clean sheets. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €12 million.
