According to British media reports, Nasser Al-Thani, the son of Malaga club's largest shareholder Abdullah Al-Thani, had a car left at the Dorchester Hotel in London seized and approved for sale by a court after he failed to pay £458,000 (approximately €532,000) in fees, with the proceeds intended to recover part of the outstanding debt.

The debt includes accommodation costs, room service charges and accumulated interest. The Dorchester Hotel involved in the case is located in Mayfair, London, where some rooms can cost as much as £8,000 per night. According to the court ruling, the hotel was entitled to retain Nasser Al-Thani's Fiat 500 Abarth Tributo Ferrari left at the hotel and sell it to repay part of the debt.

The car is valued at around £23,500 on the second-hand market, far below the amount Nasser Al-Thani owes the hotel. Therefore, even if the sale is completed, it would only recover a small portion of the debt.

Nasser Al-Thani did not attend the relevant hearing. His lawyer told the Financial Times that the client would take steps to have the case withdrawn.

Meanwhile, the Al-Thani family continues to face a judicial investigation related to Malaga. On July 6 this year, Malaga's Investigating Court No. 14 issued European arrest and surrender warrants for Abdullah Al-Thani and his sons Nayef, Nasser and Rakan, and requested that they be taken into custody. The case involves allegations including misappropriation, negligent management and imposing abusive agreements. The court stated that the actual whereabouts of the defendants are currently unclear.
