
On August 5 Beijing time, renowned journalist Romano reported that Arsenal have signed Newcastle's 28-year-old Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, with a transfer fee of £75 million.

“After lengthy negotiations, Arsenal and Newcastle reached an agreement, while Guimaraes had already agreed personal terms with Arsenal in July. Guimaraes is 28 years old and a Brazilian midfielder. He joined Newcastle from Lyon for €50.1 million in the winter transfer window of 2022. At the FIFA World Cup hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, Guimaraes made 5 appearances for Brazil and recorded 4 assists.
