Dalian Yingbo Rise to Second Place as Chengdu Rongcheng's Easy Title Path Is Blocked, Beijing Guoan and Qingdao West Coast Two Points Behind

In the recently concluded Chinese Super League matches, Beijing Guoan and Qingdao West Coast both drew with their opponents, while Dalian Yingbo climbed to second place in the league standings after defeating Qingdao Hainiu, preventing Chengdu Rongcheng from securing the title with ease.

With Chengdu Rongcheng close to securing the championship and Qingdao Hainiu's relegation place already determined, the runner-up race and the remaining relegation spot have become major focuses of the season. After 25 rounds of intense competition, Beijing Guoan, Qingdao West Coast, and Dalian Yingbo all had 37 points, followed by Shandong Taishan and Yunnan Yukun with 36 and 35 points respectively, ranking fifth and sixth.

In the 26th round, the four teams competing for second place—Qingdao West Coast, Beijing Guoan, Dalian Yingbo, and Shandong Taishan—will all play on Saturday. If none of these four teams manage to win, Chengdu Rongcheng will be declared champions ahead of schedule.

Qingdao West Coast faced Wuhan Three Towns away from home and took the lead in the third minute. However, they then conceded two goals in a row before scoring through Davidson's free kick to make it 2-2 and secure a draw.

Meanwhile, Beijing Guoan faced Shanghai Port away from home and fielded only one foreign player, Ramos. They withstood their opponents' strong attacking pressure and eventually played out a 0-0 draw, showing strong defensive ability.

Dalian Yingbo hosted Qingdao Hainiu and showed good competitive form. Stanciu and Luo Jing each scored a goal as the team earned a 2-1 victory, strengthening their position in the standings.

After the conclusion of the 26th round, Dalian Yingbo ranked second with 40 points, still 11 points behind league leaders Chengdu Rongcheng. Shandong Taishan ranked third with 39 points, while Beijing Guoan and Qingdao West Coast both had 38 points, leaving the title race full of uncertainty.
